All practitioners in the Atomic Shrink Network are licensed and independently insured to provide services in the state of California. Take the first step in the right direction. Atomic Shrink is located in Encino, California and serves the greater Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern, San Bernardino, and Orange County Areas. Services include individual and group psychotherapy, psychiatric medication management, corporate workshops, and psychological testing and training. Populations served include: children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, geriatric and special needs patients as well as corporate and military workforces. Medication is recommended only after clear indication of need has been established. Patients will be fully assessed by licensed California Psychiatrists and medication management will be done on a recurring monthly basis for the duration of treatment based on patient's needs. Monthly follow-up evaluations with either the prescribing Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner are required to assess whether or not medication continuance is necessary. Clinical Psychotherapy Diagnosis and treatment of mood, anxiety, adjustment, personality, behavior, eating and sleeping disorders are performed by licensed California Psychologists using the following clinical and empirically validated modalities: Cognitive Bheavioral Psychotherapy, Brief Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, Insight-Oriented Psychotherapy, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Patients with psychotic disorders usually require maintenance medications and are treated by a collective team including a Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatrist, and Nurse Practitioner. Counseling Psychological assistants and interns provide non-clinical counseling and wellness services including: Meditation groups, Personal counseling, Educational guidance, and Workplace consultation. If clinical services are required, psychological assistants may perform services under the direction of a licensed clinical practitioner, either psychologist or psychiatrisr per approval and special needs of the patient. These services may include, individual consultation, group consultation, and wellness follow-ups. Interns are not permitted to perform any clinical activities other than observation only, and only by approval of the patient. *Psychological assistants and interns are not covered by insurance. |
